so soon til summer

despite the lack of posts, there has been no lack of work. im trying hard to finish all my work before the 13th of may. then, if all goes to plan, i will be leaving for europe for a month or so. the current plan, for as much as i plan ahead, is fly into paris, hang out for a few weeks, train our way down to the southern regions of france, maybe backpack from marseille to nice and, after seeing how were doing, maybe backpack from nice, france to cinqe terre, italy. then maybe venice. but certainly rome. fly out of rome to london. then maybe see dublin or take a bus up to glasgow? who knows. but

im ready for a break.

so little time!

my goodness. there just never seems to be enough time. or, there’s so much time. i’m really not the best person to judge time…

either way, we have been pounding out projects left and right. up on the main site you will find a new head design and some new designs for the Himalayan Software Company.

as we are finishing up our spring projects, we are looking for some new and innovating ventures that would push us a little bit.

shoes

im going to try and upload this picture that i was working on this morning- a bit of a mock up for a made-up shoe advertisement. if you have a shoe you need to advertise however, it’s as easy as cut and paste!

updates!

i threw some additional content up on the main site just now. some pretty branding for the Himalayan Software Co. there will be a website coming soon for them. and some other promotional work. also, check out the main site as well to see one of our new faces, dave sebastian. he tends to take care of the people and money so that people like me dont have to. it’s a beautiful system.

my hobbies

just yesterday, B, a friend that i met through another friend , asked me what some of my hobbies were. and i got to thinking. and after thinking for a while i realized that my one most consistent hobbies is link surfing. this is where your one a website of someone you like and you notice that they have a link somewhere on their page that says ‘links’, or ‘friends’, or something like that. so for years now, i will come across a cool design page or an artist or chef or a fellow blogger and upon discovering that they have a whole page of interesting links, i will sit for hours and follow these links to any number of wonderful pages, who hopefully have outgoing links themselves. i especially enjoy viewing good designers pages- there’s just nothing better than to soak in the good inspiration that comes from seeing other peoples creative ideas and well done work.so, for all you link crazy people out there here are a few of the most recent ones that i have found(some might have some sketchy content)Matei Apostolescu some fresh illustration work   Design by Humans kind of threadless.com, a little more exclusive clothing community   Happy Corp a conglomerate of designers and media jocks   ILK designer/illustrator, Paris   Sebousan freelance developer/programmer out of paris   Post Typography a whole slew of archived work   the Medium  check out the link here for Little Films   Nietylko a tad risque, but mindblowing   Stem Agency a group of designers, illustrators, photographers and animators   Jessica Hische very innovative typography work      Mecano more of a commercial design agency    Headcase i love this website and the fresh work    the Heads of State these are some fun guys with really good ideas

updated website

allllrighty then. if you havent taken the time to look at the updated website, go ahead an check that out{ www.theravetree.com } on it is the new spring 2008 catalogue that dave and i devised. it has a number of shirt designs, logo designs and brandings from the last year in it.

jeeeeeez

ok. im back. with a vengance. well, not so much a vengance as  a healthy appetite.after a peaceful break from the world of work i have taken up a couple projects.a couple websites and some new identity branding (designs to follow) one of which includes a saint bernard. a book which hopefully will get written. and a number of t-shirt ventures.the darndest thing though- i cant figure out what is wrong with my website. for those of you who have visited it and are using explorer, i am sorry. if microsoft would stop getting sued by so many different technology companies, it would make all our lives easier.i have a number of new illustrations  coming up this month and i am excited to see what happens.i will be sure to keep you all posted. i’ve added a few more blogs to the blog roll, be sure to check them out.
